PMR Fixers has over 25 years experience when it comes to stud welding. The company is undoubtedly the UK’s frontrunner when it comes to stud welding, having welded Shear Studs to 1000s of projects and sites in this time.

With the help of Shear Stud Ltd the sister company of PMR Fixers Ltd, we are now able to offer every available size of Shear Connector, most of which are held in stock at any one time, we pride ourselves on being able to offer the customer a next day service whether this involves the supply of Shear Connectors or the full installation package.

PMR Fixers have an experienced team of Site Supervisors who are all CSCS trained and are available to help the client whenever needed. On the larger projects we also offer the option of a permanent on Site Supervisor who is able to liaise with site on a daily basis.

PMR Fixers Stud Welders pride themselves on being the quickest and most efficient Stud Welders in the UK, they are all directly employed and all hold CSCS Stud Welder & Steel Decker Qualifications, we also do all our own in house training and on site training where necessary.

PMR Fixers undertake all types of Stud Welding:-

Thru Deck :- On site basis, to all types of Metaldeck flooring including, Corus Comflor, Kingspan Multideck, SMD & RLSD, others available on request.

Straight to Beams :- This is available at the clients premises or again on site. We are able to offer both specifications of Shear Connectors BS 13918 & BS5400 which is Bridge Beam Specification.

Sheet Piles :- On site Basis, Capacity to weld between 450 – 800 shear studs per day.

Precast Concrete Beams :- On site or at the client premises, we are the first stud welding company to offer this facility on site due to our design team developing a new stud welding gun that fits into the gap when these beams have been installed on site.

Mobile Welding Rigs

The stud welding service at PMR Fixers is enhanced by a fleet of purpose built mobile welding lorries. These vehicles are designed to offer the best access to the very latest stud welding equipment and ensure a rapid, uninterrupted service. All our stud welding equipment on board the specialist stud welding vehicles are powered by 250KVA diesel generators and are installed with the very latest Nelson stud welding equipment.

Static Welding Units

We also offer Nelson static stud welding sets that are available to hire or alternatively we can offer the full fixing package on site.

We have available:-

  • Nelweld 6000 Welding Set
  • Nelson Atlas 2800 Welding Set

All equipment to be used with the above is also supplied and included in the cost.

On site power requirements:-

  • Site Power minimum 415KVA
  • 3 phase
  • Minimum 125amp per phase
  • Separate Power Feed for Stud Welding only.
  • 5 pin plug socket
