Also available is a wide range of manufactured spare parts for welding guns, which have been adapted to cope with the high volume of studs that PMR fix. Chuck: £POA
The benefit of the one piece welding chuck over the conventional sleeve:
Automatic stud seating set by the seating arrangement, this ensures there is no operator error reducing tendency for movement, in comparison to other methods of seating prone to creep.
The lightweight unit weighs 50% less than the conventional equivalent, in turn the life span of the lifting mechanism and gun coil is increased, reducing the impact on the gun’s damper upon plunging.
The one piece welding chuck is more tolerant to working at high temperatures related to rapid welding cycles. The unit remains cooler for longer than standard 3 piece assembly system.
4 x 5 mm ventilation fins dissipate heat rapidly and eliminate weld splatter clogging.
A choice of any size is available and can be manufactured to suit your exact requirements. Connection thread pattern from 6mm pins up to 22mm shear studs.
Ceramic Isolator: £POA
PMR have developed this ceramic isolator to outperform the original part, PMR isolators are manufactured from Victrev Peek 450g, which has a tensile strength of 92mpa, Rockwell hardness of m99 and working temperature of 300°C. The benefits of this ceramic isolator is that it enables direct threading, removing the need for brass threading inserts - which expand and crack the amber outer shell on the original part. These isolators are threaded at m5x8.
Chuck Extension Shaft: £POA
A one piece chuck shaft of 303 A2 grade stainless steel. Produced to a standard length of 92mm and diameter of 19.05mm. These chuck extension shafts are threaded internally and externally at ½” x 20 unf, incorporating 10mm adjustment spanner slots at a diameter of 17mm AF. PMR can manufacture chuck extension shafts to any practical size and length for extended reach and restricted access welding.
Guide Bush: £POA
These brass guide bushes do not melt, are hard wearing, and have a serviceable lifespan that by far exceeds that of the PTFE type. PMR Fixers produce the guide bush from brass, which is free running against bearing finished shafts and requires no lubrication. Superior to its PTFE equivalent, it expands to temperature along with the shaft, thus preventing jamming.
The PMR Fixers guide bush is produced to sit in a inner race of 21mm, if you require, they can be machined to suit wear and tear deviation, caused by operating the welding gun without a guide bush, This will then correct the deviation thus putting the guns mechanism back into line.
Leg Extensions: £POA
The PMR Fixers leg extensions are produced from high grade solid 3/8 303 grade stainless steel. These leg extensions are manufactured to a length of 330mm, 110mm of this is slotted which gives full adjustment from 75mm to 175mm, this means the need to mill off material is uneccesary, leaving the bar more stable in the guns’ leg barrels.
Using an external M8.125 thread, connections can be established, protected by dome nuts this offers a more stable platform. Each leg can be adjusted independently by means of the flange nut at the base, enabling the operator to stop any run out in the foot assembly. A benefit of the PMR Fixers leg extension is they have no socket cap screws to clog up and are not affected by rust.
